Development programmmes at a grass roots level

We at the NNHF fund development programmes that improve access to care for people with haemophilia and allied bleeding disorders living in the developing world.

Through these programmes we have trained over 4,900 health care professionals to become specialists in the field of haemophilia.  We have provided educational materials and workshops to 10,300 patients and their families to enable them to better understand the condition.  Over 11,000 patients have been newly diagnosed or retested to have their diagnosis confirmed and nearly all are registered in national haemophilia registries.

Our programmes consist of projects, fellowships and awards.  They focus on at least one of the following areas:

1. Capacity building
2. Awareness creation
3. Diagnosis and registries
