Just a few months after the project started, the NNHF project in Serbia presented its National Treatment Guidelines at the Serbian Haematology Congress in November. The development process for these guidelines included a literature review and identification of local needs, resulting in guidelines that are tailored to the national context in Serbia. The great collaboration of the members of the Serbian Haemophilia Care Doctors Group (SHCDG) led to the fast and highly efficient creation of these guidelines, which will be presented to the Ministry of Health for approval.
The Ministry’s approval would mean hospitals across Serbia are obligated to adopt them, leading to a more consistent and increased standard of care across the country.
