International management and haemophilia expertise combined
Based in Zurich, Switzerland, the Novo Nordisk Haemophilia Foundation (NNHF) is established as a non-profit entity. Swiss federal and fiscal supervision ensure that the proceeds of NNHF are spent in accordance with its objectives.
NNHF is governed by the Foundation Council, chaired by the chief operating officer (COO) of Novo Nordisk A/S, and comprises the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President of Novo Nordisk A/S, two worldwide renowned external experts in the field of haemophilia, and four additional Novo Nordisk executives drawn from the company’s global experience in haemophilia. The Foundation Council convenes four times a year.
NNHF receives approximately DKK 10 million per year from its main benefactor, Novo Nordisk A/S, in Denmark. Other benefactors may be permitted by the Foundation Council.
